A virus that shocked the world
Took humanity by surprise
A pandemic we never learned
While ignorance paid the price

The world is now in despair
Prestigious currencies confined
Lives lost unfair
While relationships declined

People now at home
Mother Nature shall heal
Animals are free to roam
While weapons aren’t a big deal

Not for the first time
Many battles we’ve fought
We surpassed those crimes
This too we shall sort

Peace we will find
Together we shall rise
But we need to be kind
And not hide in disguise

Lessons we have learnt
Never shall we be heedless
Being careless we’ve burnt
As we are all humans regardless
