Rotasia paves the platform to build networks and concentrate ideas and efforts to work together for a common agenda of youths in general. ROTASIA is generally understood as a 3-4 day conference for youths with invitees from Rotaract. This year Sri Lanka had the privilege to host to Rotasia. Starting with a magnificent opening ceremony on the 5th of February at Nelum Pokuna.The conference continued for five days which included the events of a beach party, the best scavenger hunt “Conquer colombo”, preliminary session and eventful cosing ceremony. Hundreds of Rotaracts in Asia participated this conference.

Public Relations Plan

Rotasia being a grand scale project, promotion for the event was extensive. This included a video which highlighted the heritage of Sri Lanka as well as the culture. Posters were in variety advertising the event. All Rotaractors were requested to change their Facebook profile picture into the Rotasia poster in order to show the collective support of District 3220. An official Rotaract website too was created for easy access to all International Rotaractors.

Objectives

-To exchange information and ideas on youths for effective functioning -To enhance fellowship and friendship among youths creating opportunities for collaborative action. -To create a common forum for youths in the region to work closely in professional development and leadership skills of youths. -To consolidate issues and discussions of youths for a common purpose. -To work together with the youths on a community service project
