Sri Saranankara Welfare Society in collaboration with the Rotary and Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town conducted a medical camp treating close to 1200 patients, essentially carrying out general, eye and dental checkups in addition to other medical tests.

Simultaneously, a dengue awareness campaign was also held and appropriate leaflets were distributed by Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid own. The Chief Medical Officer of the Dehiwala/Mt Lavinia Municipal Council along with PDG Thariq Thulba addressed the gathering, stressing on destroying breeding spaces to exterminate the virus once and for all.
Celebrating World Polio Day, multiple banners were displayed at the Saranankara Ground premises on the day of the medical camp. Sri Lanka was the first South Asian country to eradicate Polio with the help of Rotary. Sri Lanka has been Polio-free for almost two decades.
