Wildlife Conservation is the regulation of the wild animals and plants in such a way as to provide for their continuance. Effects are aimed at preventing the depletion of present populations and ensuring the continued existence of the habitats targeted species need to survive. The major threats includes habitat destruction, degradation, fragmentation, over-exploitation, poaching, Industrialization, Urbanization pollution and climate changes together with Tourism too. Wildlife is a wonderful creation of God. God has not created the universe only for the human beings. On this earth we find the majestic oak to the tiniest grass. All are created and balanced in this world. Wildlife conservation is important because it regulates wildlife population., whereas it also helps to balance the ecosystem, and moreover maintain the natural beauty for the future generations.
Wildlife conservation is important for maintaining a healthy ecological balance among all the living creatures. Every living creature in the earth has a unique in the food chain and thus, they contribute to the ecosystem in their own special way. But sadly, in the present worldly situation for the development of Land and firming many natural habitats of the plants and animals are being destroyed by humans. Some other factors that contribute to the wildlife extinction are like the hunting of animals for fur, jewelry, meat, leather and etc.…Further as a result of not any precautions to be taken into consideration all wild animals will be in the list of extinct species someday. It’s our responsibility to save the wildlife and our planet. Wildlife conservation is important for a healthy ecosystem. A single wildlife species being vanished from the ecosystem, may disturb the whole chain. Wildlife conservation is also important for medical values as a huge number of plants and animal species are used to derive some essential drugs. Moreover, Ayurveda, the ancient medicinal system of India is also using extracts of various plants and herbs, wildlife conservation is also important for agriculture and farming. Wildlife plays a very significant role in the growth of agriculture crops and a large amount of population in the world is dependent on these crops, For maintaining a clean and healthy environment, wildlife conservation is also essential for example birds like eagle and vulture contribute to nature by removing dead bodies of animals and keeps the environment clean. We should not allow the wildlife or at least part of wildlife to vanish from the earth. We all know that the nature maintain a balance of its own and every creature on this earth perform their duty to assist nature to maintain the natural balance. For example, trees not only provide us oxygen to us but it also maintain the climatic Condition of a region. Moreover it also performs their duty in reducing the global warming on this earth. Again the birds also control the population of insects in the ecosystem. That is why the conservation of wildlife is important to maintain the balance of our ecosystem. If we ignore the important of the wildlife and causing harm to it on regular basis, which would result on a reverse effect on us too.
Deforestation is also a major cause of Wildlife loss. Mass murders of wild animals are taking place all over the globe for their meats, bones, fur, teeth ,hair, skin, etc. without a care for the Wildlife which eventually results in the need forconservation of wildlife being a necessity.
The population growth, agriculture and livestock development, urban and road building and pollution are among the many pressures on wildlife’s nature habitat. In addition to illegal hunting, the decrease of habitat and its degradation has endangered the biodiversity of the widespread areas.
Wildlife preservation does not imply blanket protection for all the species of fauna and flora; It means adequate, judicious control over the multiplication of crops and animals that communicate to provide a suitable atmosphere for the man whose very life is at risk. In the past, due to the irrational use of the earth’s natural and biotic resources, most wildlife was demolished after recovery. It is our responsibility to safeguard the ecosystem’s natural splendor and develop a system of coexistence with every living creature on earth. While the world’s nations must be very specific in terms of wildlife conservation, the amount of wildlife is diminishing day by day.
Urbanization is a strong driver of environment modification worldwide. Currently, there are more than seven billion people on earth, with more than half living in urban areas. By 2050, more than 70% of the human population will live in urban areas. Therefore, the pressure for urban development will lead to continued urban expansion. These changing environment conditions will cause loss, degradation, fragmentation, and isolation of remnant habitats and effect the biodiversity at local, Landscape and regional scales. As a result of urbanization, animals are increasingly exposed to urban boundaries. In the Anthropocene era, urbanization is increasing across the globe, and urban areas constitute one of the fastest growing land-use types. While the effects of urbanization on abundance have been documented, the consequences for biodiversity and its component parts are poorly known despite the fact that they are important for conservation. Urbanization alters both biotic and abiotic ecosystem properties, thereby leading to biodiversity loss all over the world. Urban habitats and ,landscapes are markedly different from natural habitats. The major difference is the transformation of the land. To survive in the urban habitat, birds are forced to either accept or avoid the new condition. In addition, the urban sprawl has led to a highly fragmented landscapes, with islet of suitable bird’s habitat surrounded by highways and building that frequently act as barriers. Although the urban habitat is a large threat to biodiversity, it is also an exciting environment for studies of population divergence, evolutionary response, and ultimately speciation in real life.
Today, protecting wildlife has become as one of the most important tasks among all mankind, because, animals and plants are the major part of a wider naturals environment that provides food, shelter, and water for other wildlife and people. Here are some way we can protect the wildlife; we should try to reuse and recycle our natural resources as much as we can protect the wildlife habitat, We should avoid sports hunting. Rather we should use our camera to take shots, Adopting a plant based diet helps us to reduce animal slaughtering and it a great way to protect wildlife, We should learn how to live peacefully with wildlife, We must participate in local cleanup efforts whenever we get a chance.
